We Need You...

In the wake of the attacks on the United States, the Coast Guard Auxiliary will be called upon to provide essential services to the Coast Guard as they focus more heavily on their military and law enforcement missions. We will need all the help we can get. You do not need to own a boat or even be an experienced boater, since our missions are wide-ranging. For information about existing Auxiliary missions and the Auxiliary in general, click here !!!

Coast Guard Academy Introduction Mission (AIM)

USCG Academy icon Each summer the Coast Guard Auxiliary in cooperation with the United States Coast Guard Academy conducts a one week familiarization session at the Academy in New London, Connecticut.

High school students in their junior year and who meet the requirements are selected from a pool of applicants from the local area. The selection process is very competitive and only the top qualifiers are extended an invitation to participate.

Are you a student, interested in a career with the U.S. Coast Guard?  There is a program called AIM available to selected individuals through the Coast Guard Auxiliary!  Click here for more information (AIM)

The Coast Guard Auxiliary Mission

The Coast Guard Auxiliary is an organization of volunteers who donate their time and possibly their facilities (boats, aircraft and radios) to assist and augment the U.S. Coast Guard in some of their non-military, non-law enforcement activities.

Principle Coast Guard missions in which Auxiliarists participate are "Recreational Boating Safety" and recruiting assistance, mainly through the "Academy Introduction Mission." However, as more Auxiliarists are trained, the "Marine Safety and Environmental Protection" mission will become increasingly important.
